Swiss German pop/folk

Swiss german on Stage

With her original compositions and reinterpretations, Rose McCan moves between Irish folk and dialect indie/folk, sometimes blending the genres. And the more she did singing swiss german, the stronger her desire became to bring her dialect songs from “Ros Rain” (see below) to small stages as well.

When she performs solo, however, she travels light—with just her guitar. And so Rose did what she loves most: she thoroughly reworked her pop-oriented songs until they fit her new singer-songwriter style with a folky groove.

Here's a slightly longer sample song:
Mini Ouge wei zu Dir (Ros Rain)

By the way, she particularly enjoys the closeness to the audience at sofa concerts, in small theaters, folk clubs, and cultural venues. Currently, she performs with her Irish folk duo or quartet only at weddings and smaller festivals.

Swiss german studio project «RosRain»

Since 2024, Rose has also been exploring the world of pop music. Over the course of two years, she broadened her horizons and released fourteen studio recordings under the project name “RosRain.” Her first pop single was released on February 9, 2024, and her first album on February 13, 2026 (as a sort of master’s thesis, so to speak). This “pop apprenticeship” journey has sparked Rose’s curiosity, and she wants to keep trying new things. The Ros Rain journey will certainly continue; the only question is in what form.
